Thomas Jefferson Middle School Renovation and Repair
Location: Arlington, VA
A renovation of the existing school that required a creative design to repair and waterproof the foundation walls, all while the school remained in service during construction. The design involved foundation wall "jackets", underpinning, and a temporary shoring tunnel across the width of the building. The building renovation also included the creation and enlargement of many windows and skylights to increase the natural light into the space.
50 F Street Façade Repairs
Location: Washington, D.C.
Brick masonry and waterproofing repairs to the 10 - story brick masonry clad building. Services included investigation, design, bidding, and construction administration.
The project required innovative solutions to overcome the waterproofing challenges posed by the precast lintels grouted solid with the exterior brick cladding and exterior brick deterioration.
Dairy Central Façade Repairs
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Survey, evaluation, and preparation of repair drawings and specifications for the facade as part of a larger renovation of the historic Monticello Dairy site.
Whitmore Garage – POST-TENSION CONCRETE REPAIRS
Location: Annapolis, MD
Assessment and repairs to an existing 5-story post-tensioned parking garage, including design of post-tensioned concrete repairs, new barrier cable systems, structural steel retrofitting, temporary shoring, deck coatings and performance construction inspections.
