Thomas Jefferson Middle School Renovation and Repair
Location: Arlington, VA
A renovation of the existing school that required a creative design to repair and waterproof the foundation walls, all while the school remained in service during construction. The design involved foundation wall "jackets", underpinning, and a temporary shoring tunnel across the width of the building. The building renovation also included the creation and enlargement of many windows and skylights to increase the natural light into the space.
Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School Elevated Gym
Location: Alexandria, VA
An elevated gym connecting an existing school building to the outdoor playground on the top floor of the next-door parking structure.
Falls Church High School
Location: Falls Church, VA
A complete renovation of the existing Falls Church High School. With additions of classroom and support spaces on the pre-existing building, the building is now 430,000 SF.
