Three parking structures totaling over 1,000,000 SF attached to the Mall of San Juan shopping center.
Structural Features
The parking structures are precast concrete double tees with a cast-in-place toping to create the seismic diaphragm on precast beams and columns. The soils at the garage foundations were modeled as springs to represent soil stiffness and reduce footing sizes and better understand structural behavior during high seismic events.
