Heritage Fellowship United
A new 75,000 SF church complex addition with a new sanctuary, chapel, fellowship hall, classrooms, offices, choir rehearsal space, and courtyard.

The Project

New two-story, approximately 75,000 SF church complex with a partial cellar level. This new campus enlarges the existing church area with a new sanctuary, chapel, fellowship hall, classrooms, offices, choir rehearsal space, and courtyard.

Structural Features

The building is steel framed with composite concrete floors and a metal deck and steel joist roof. The main sanctuary is a tall, vaulted space with large steel trusses configured with a perimeter tension ring. Due to the unusual configuration of the sanctuary and the glass clerestories and walls, a 3-dimensional finite element analysis was performed for the entire sanctuary structure with metal plate strapping installed in the roofs and steel moment frames to properly resist the lateral loads.
