Two five-story residential/mixed-use towers over a single below-grade parking level. The towers are separated by a central drive lane that extends Wayne St. into a community plaza area over parking below.
The Project
A new, mixed-use residential project in the civic center of Arlington, Virginia, close to the urban Clarendon and Rosslyn neighborhoods as well as the more suburban feel of Arlington Boulevard. There are 188 residential units covering 210,000 SF and 35,000 SF of street-level retail.
Structural Features
Each tower structure consists of four stories of wood-framed construction over a 12” thick concrete transfer slab at level 2. At-grade construction consists of a 10” to 12” thick concrete two-way slab. The cantilevered and offset concrete beams support the offset stairs at the transfer slab and level 1.
