William R. McLain, PE
Bill joined Ehlert Bryan in 2012, bringing with him an already diverse project background and leadership experience in the Washington, D.C. region. Since 2015, Bill has served as the President and Managing Principal at the Ehlert Bryan DC office in downtown Washington, D.C. His extensive professional background in the D.C. metro area informs his day-to-day involvement in projects of various types and sizes.
With a wide variety of project experience, Bill has continually taken an interest in industry innovations. He has become a leader and promoter in the emerging market of engineered wood heavy timber and cross-laminated timber (CLT) construction.
Bill has also shown a sustained commitment to the elevation and advancement of the structural engineering profession. Throughout his career, Bill has held several leadership positions in the Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington (SEA-MW).
