The Project
A five-story 86-unit assisted living and memory care facility located in the heart of the City of Falls Church, Virginia. Two retail spaces on the street level house an art gallery and event space. The 100,000 SF building provides apartment-style units for assisted living residents and a two-level memory care neighborhood designed as a secure environment for those with memory impairments.
Structural Features
An exterior façade of cast stone, brick, and cementitious siding helps the building blend into its surroundings. The building is a steel frame with concrete on a composite metal deck floor and roof system. The 1st floor of the building consists mostly of an open garage. The project also features some decorative exposed steel terrace screen walls.
