For over 50 years, the National Association of Counties (NACo) has celebrated innovative programs that modernize county government and increase services to county residents.
This year, we’re proud to see that one of our projects, Hal & Berni Hanson Regional Park in Loudoun County, was recognized in the Parks and Recreation category. Designed to accommodate all ages and lifestyles, this 257-acre park has become an important community resource since it opened in 2022. Public feedback was instrumental in various features around the park, such as the first dedicated cricket field in Loudoun County and a tournament-level disc golf course.
Ehlert Bryan provided design services for several of the buildings on-site, including the nature center and The Lodge at Hanson Park.
